About the Choir
The Mississinewa Valley Choir was form in August 2015 and is under the direction of Mr. Chuck Kenworthy. As of now the choir performs in one big concert a year with the MVB during our Sacred Show at the Philippe. Along with performing at the Sacred Concert the choir will sing through the summer, and perform at a couple of the Summer Concerts of the band!

About the Director
The Mississinewa Valley Choir is directed by Mr. Chuck Kenworthy. John Brane recruited Chuck out of the alto saxophone section of the band to lead the choir, an offshoot of the Missiniewa Valley Band. Chuck earned degrees in music at both Indiana Wesleyan University and Ball State; and while his music career has included singing solos, in male quartets, and in ensembles, his first love is teaching and conducting. Before retiring from Marion Community Schools, Chuck had taught choral music students in middle school, junior high and high schools at Fairmount/Madison-Grant, Wabash City Schools and McCulloch Jr. High in Marion. Over the years, he has also served as music director in several churches, as well as conducting high school and community stage musicals. Chuck is married Elayne and has five children.
