About the Band
The Mississinewa Valley Band is Grant County’s community band and is headquartered in Marion, Indiana. The band was founded in 2000 as an all-volunteer non-profit corporation. Our mission is to provide a performance arena for amateur instrumentalists of all ages fostering a challenging environment for continued growth and musicianship. MVB promotes the continued development, education, and appreciation of the arts in the Grant County community.
Band membership is open to everyone. We provide a musical outlet for musicians who vary in age, proficiency level, and professional background. We average 55 musicians who enjoy volunteering their time to perform a variety of music for a number of different venues. |
